Nature Summer Camps in Charlottesville, VA

Living Earth School summer camps provide children with a unique opportunity to connect with nature in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Voted a favorite summer camp for over 10 years, our programs immerse campers in the mountains, streams, and wild landscapes of Charlottesville, Virginia and the surrounding region.

At our youth summer nature camps, children explore the natural world through hands-on activities, games, and adventures designed to spark curiosity and build skills. Campers learn about plants, wildlife, bird language, tracking, wilderness survival skills, and ecological awareness, all while working in small groups that foster collaboration and confidence.

Our Nature Connection Mentors guide campers in experiences that cultivate a lasting connection to the earth, helping children feel at home in wild places, develop resilience, and experience the joy of learning outdoors. Summer at Living Earth School is more than camp – it’s a chance for children to grow, play, and thrive connected to nature.
