Shelter. Water. Fire. Food.

During this class you will learn the basics of living off the land, using no more than a knife and the world around you to stay alive. These skills will help you if you are ever lost in the woods, but will also make you feel more secure in your life at home as you discover how little you really need to live comfortably.

In this class, you will learn:

  • Knife safety

  • Basic shelter construction

  • Finding and purifying water

  • Firemaking structures and techniques

  • Safe foraging practices

  • Basic animal traps

  • Survival mindset

  • And more!

These skills are simple but important, and who knows… they may even save your life one day! After all, we wouldn’t be here if someone a long time ago hadn’t known how to start fires by rubbing sticks together, where to build their shelter, or which plants were safe to eat. So come prepared to take notes and have fun as we explore the basics of survival.

Children 10 and up are welcome as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
